As a general guide: a Quarter share (~125 lbs) requires about 4–5 cubic feet of freezer space, a Half share (~250 lbs) requires 8–10 cubic feet, and a Whole share (~500 lbs) requires 16–20 cubic feet. A standard chest freezer (7 cu ft) works well for a quarter share.
Properly vacuum-sealed and frozen Wagyu beef will stay fresh for 12–18 months in a consistently cold freezer (0°F or below). For best flavor and quality, we recommend consuming it within 12 months of your pickup date.
Wagyu is a breed of Japanese cattle renowned for its exceptional intramuscular fat marbling. This marbling gives Wagyu beef its signature buttery tenderness and rich, complex flavor that's distinctly different from conventional beef. At Jackson Livestock, our Fullblood and Purebred Wagyu are DNA-verified and registered with the American Wagyu Association, ensuring you're getting the real thing.
Fullblood Wagyu are 100% pure Wagyu genetics with no crossbreeding — the gold standard for marbling and flavor. Purebred Wagyu are at least 93.75% Wagyu genetics, typically produced by crossing Fullblood Wagyu with another breed over multiple generations. Both offer exceptional quality well above conventional beef. All of our cattle are registered and DNA-verified with the American Wagyu Association.

Our calves are born and raised right here on the ranch, cared for by their mothers and our team from day one. They graze on nutrient-rich pastures and receive a specialized feeding program designed to support optimal marbling development. We keep our herd small so every animal gets proper attention — no factory farming, no shortcuts.
Absolutely — splitting a share is a great way to enjoy premium Wagyu without needing a large amount of freezer space. Just keep in mind that only one order and one pickup location is associated with each share. Any splitting of cuts or costs between parties is handled between buyers directly.
